This website is operated by Skinner Language Services (trading as slangs), a sole proprietorship registered in Switzerland. Our registered address and contact details are set out in section 8 below.
We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
2. What data we collect and why
We collect only the data you provide voluntarily when submitting the contact form on this website. This includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organisation (optional)
- The language pair and subject matter relevant to your enquiry
- Any additional information you include in your message
We collect this data solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and, where relevant, entering into a service agreement with you. We do not collect data for marketing purposes and we do not use this data for any purpose other than handling your request.
We do not use cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels, or any other technologies that collect data about your browsing behaviour.

Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest — to respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can provide the services you require
- Pre-contractual measures — where your enquiry relates to entering into a service agreement
4. How long we retain your data
We retain enquiry data for a maximum of 24 months from the date of your last contact. Where an enquiry leads to a service engagement, we retain relevant correspondence for as long as required by applicable law or the terms of our agreement, and for a period of ten years thereafter in accordance with Swiss statutory retention obligations.
Data that does not lead to a service engagement is deleted within 24 months.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
This website is hosted by green.ch AG, Industriestrasse 33, 5242 Lupfig, Switzerland. As our hosting provider, green.ch processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Auftragsdatenverarbeitungsvereinbarung) in accordance with Swiss DSG and EU GDPR. All data is processed exclusively in Switzerland or within the EU/EEA.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers when you visit this site; this results in your IP address being transmitted to Google solely for the purpose of delivering the font files. We have no control over Google's processing of this data. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Request data portability where technically feasible

7. Data security
We and our hosting provider implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our hosting infrastructure is located in Switzerland and is operated in accordance with ISO-certified security standards.
Transmission of data via the contact form is encrypted using TLS.
